All snuggled-up for a star-spangled Sunday afternoon snooze.  (Matthew also had his first bottle today during church.  He even managed not to spit up all of it: victory!)

June 26, 2012 (Tuesday)

Grandma helped shield Matthew from the wind while we watched the girls at their "Kindersports" class at the YMCA this morning.

Sadly, Grandma had to go home today.  I think Matthew is going to spend the next few days wondering, "where did that nice other-mommy-lady go??"  Thanks for coming, Mom!  It was a great week!!!

Matthew was resting on a blanket in his bouncy seat when all of a sudden Grandma started talking in a seat nearby.  He turned his head and gave a cute little proto-smile right in her direction!

Matthew's favorite place to be this week: on Grandma's lap.  (And his favorite thing to hear this week?  "This is the Grandma.  You WILL remember me..." :)

There's just something fascinating about little tiny baby toes.  The girls love touching them and so do I.  Maybe it's because they're such perfect miniatures?  Whatever the reason, they were definitely worth catching a photo of.

Speaking of feet, Matthew also had a doctor's appointment today.  He weighed in at 8 lbs, 2 oz, but the big news is that we're finally in the clear for bilirubin levels: no more daily foot pricks!  Hooray!

All swaddled up and ready to get some sleep after spending the last couple of hours doing hearing checks and other fun medical sort of stuff.  (The first of many fun nights Mommy and Matthew will spend hanging out together while the rest of the world slumbers...:)

Finally all cleaned up.  After a busy day of beginning mortality, nothing feels quite as nice as a warm bath and a nap.  (We thought it was neat they let the girls help with Baby’s first bath.)

After Mommy monopolized Matthew for more than hour, the nurse finally got her hands on him.  Now that he’s all rosy and awake, time to weigh him, measure him, and check all those nice baby reflexes.
